A collection of food and groceries has been gathered for the Exmouth Community Larder.

The essential items were donated by members of Exmouth Inner Wheel – the voluntary ladies’ association, similar to the town’s Rotary groups.

Overseen by Sue Naile and Val Whiteley, Exmouth Inner Wheel’s joint presidents, the provisions were gathered by the group’s members as part of the Inner Wheel Day of Service.

“This day celebrates the founding of the organisation more than 90 years ago, and is commemorated worldwide by Inner Wheel clubs,” said Pam Day, the club’s correspondent.

Following the collection, the group enjoyed a social lunch, provided by the joint presidents.

The Exmouth Community Larder is an initiative of Christians Together in Exmouth supported by the Salvation Army. It offers emergency food for local people in crisis.
