Pupils from Littleham Primary School and Marpool Primary School were invited to Kings Garden Centre, in Higher Hulham Road, Exmouth, to receive their prizes for good gardening and protecting wildlife.

Marpool Primary School won the overall award for best garden; Littleham Primary School won best vegetable plot.

Exmouth in Bloom thanked Kings Garden Centre for donating the hampers and also Karen Turner, from Birds and Bees, in Exeter Road, Exmouth, who presented both schools with bags of gardening tools from the Barn Owl Trust to encourage, protect and preserve wildlife in their gardens.

Exmouth in Bloom launched its local gardening competition in May at Summerleaze Residential Care Home, in Salterton Road; eight new categories for 2018 included residential gardens, businesses and organisations, plus three new entry categories for schools - best school garden, best school vegetable plot and best school wildlife garden.
