MEMBERS of Exmouth’s Moose International have raised more than 1000 for the Force cancer charity.

The money was raised at a fete held at The Imperial Hotel based on the Esplanade - an event which was opened by mayor Darryl Nicholls.

Chris Frankpitt, secretary of Moose Ladies’ Circle, said there was a number of other charities there on the day and entertainment included Hawkridge birds of prey, face painting and a performance from The Dartline Majorettes.

“We would like to thank the Imperial Hotel’s management for allowing us the allowing us the use of their grounds,” said Chris.

Exmouth Moose International has also presented a cheque of 800 to Help for Heroes.

The money was raised as a result of a collection outside Tesco supermarket and through selling bracelets.
