An Exmouth schoolgirl has had her long locks cut off in aid of other children who have lost their hair while undergoing cancer treatment.

Eight-year-old Evee Davies, of Brixington, has donated the 12 inches of hair to the Little Princess Trust, which will use it to create wigs for youngsters.

A crowdfunding page was also set up - raising more than £440 for the charity.

The Withycombe Raleigh Primary School pupil has been waiting for two years to have her hair cut. Her mum Natacia German said Evee was ‘delighted’ with the support everyone has given, adding: “She had really long hair and wanted to raise money for charity. Evee has been asking for her hair to be cut.

“She was really excited by the sponsorship - every time someone puts a donation in she asks who it’s from.”
