RAIL passengers in Exmouth can commute to Exeter earlier in the morning on Sundays during the winter.
This is thanks to the addition of a 10am service which will operate for the first time.
The timetable change has been achieved following pressure from the Avocet Line Rail Users Group.
Tony Day, chairman of the group, said: "We think people will be glad to use this service.
"Times have changed, with new work patterns; shops open on Sunday and much more leisure travel.
"We put this to First Great Western, who agreed with us, and Network Rail have now said the train can run."
The Sunday train service from Exmouth operates every hour from 9am in spring and summer.
Tony added: "We are still pressing for the 9am train to run all year too, again with backing from First Great Western.
