EXMOUTH was not so in bloom last week after flowers were damaged, resulting in a trail of destroyed petals being strewn across a road and pavement.

A three-tier display near the Fahrenheit nightclub and Cabin News, on the Parade, was subject to damage.

Pat Graham, chairman of Exmouth in Bloom, said it was disappointing to hear flowers planted for people to enjoy looking at were subjected to such vandalism.

But, she added: "We are lucky that most of the displays are treated quite well.
