Exmouth firefighters take recsuse equipment to M5 motorway

RESCUE equipment from Exmouth fire station was sent to the M5 motorway after a car veered into a ditch.

RESCUE equipment from Exmouth fire station was sent to the M5 motorway after a car veered into a ditch.

Firefighters from Exmouth, Topsham, Cullompton and Tiverton were on Friday evening called to the southbound carriageway just past the Honiton junction following reports people were trapped in a vehicle which had left the road.

When the crews arrived they found no one was trapped in the vehicle.

One female received medical treatment from paramedics at the scene.

The firefighters made the vehicle safe before leaving the scene.

The police and Highways also attended the incident.
