Exmouth firefighters rescue trapped boy

A boy trapped on railings on the seafront was rescued uninjured by Exmouth firefighters.

An eight-year-old boy with his leg trapped in railings on Exmouth seafront on Tuesday afternoon rescued by firefighters.

The fire crew was called to the gardens of Exmouth Pavilion at around 2.15pm where they found the trapped youngster.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival the crew helped the boy to remove his knee bracing the railings.

“The eight-year-old year old boy was uninjured.”
