FIREFIGHTERS were called to Budleigh Salterton on Tuesday morning after a hedge caught fire, spreading to nearby garages.
When the Exmouth fire crew arrived at Knowle Road, shortly after 5.30am, they found a small fire had broken out among hedgerow, which had spread to a garage block.
The crew used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and a thermal image camera was used to check for hotspots.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Slight damage was caused to the garage block.
