Exmouth firefighters called to rescue horse from river

Firefighters from Exmouth have been called out to help rescue a horse stuck in a river.

Exmouth Fire Station’s animal rescue team was sent to the incident at Sowton village at 11.16am on Tuesday, May 30, along with firefighters from Exeter’s Danes Castle.

On arrival at the scene firefighters were able to lead the horse to safety using water rescue equipment.

A vet was also at the scene.
