Exmouth firefighters called to Brixington

EXMOUTH firefighters were called to a Brixington home on Tuesday evening after a fire broke out in a garage.

EXMOUTH firefighters were called to a Brixington home on Tuesday evening after a fire broke out in a garage.

The fire crews were called to Evergreen Close at around 7.20pm where they found the garage of a four-bedroom house was ablaze.

The firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel to tackle the blaze.

Ventilation fans were used to clear smoke from the property.

Some 10 per cent of the garage was damaged by the fire.
