AN Exmouth firefighter and heart patient has thanked all those supporting this year's British Heart Foundation's Wear Red For Heart day.
Mr Morley, 41, who was diagnosed with coronary heart disease three years ago and had a stent fitted to treat a blocked coronary artery, last month teamed up with the rest of his watch and wore red to raise funds for the charity.
The Exmouth firefighters said thanks to the support of Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, Thomson Reuters - Digita, the Claremont Medical Practice, and Mrs Anne Allan who held a coffee morning, Exmouth raised 503 for the cause.
Mr Morley said the response from people in Exmouth had been 'terrific'.
"The total was amazing. I hope even more companies will get involved next February," said Mr Morley. "The British Heart Foundation does a great job, so I'm always happy to do whatever I can to help."
