EXMOUTH firefighters have extinguished the blaze which closed the town centre for most of Thursday.
Some 20 fire appliances remain in the town after Bargains Galore, in The Parade, caught fire earlier today.
The fire crews are now concentrating on searching neighbouring properties for any remaining hotspots.
And it is hoped some parts of the police cordon, which closed off the town centre, will be lifted within the next hour.
Exmouth fire station group manager Mike White said: "We will be scaling down numbers later, but it is expected there will be crews on-site for the rest of the night.
"We are going through all the premises that are saved, making sure there are no hot-spots and it's all under control.
