Exmouth fire crews assist woman after fall

Fire crews were called out overnight to assist an elderly woman in Exmouth following a fall.

One fire appliance attended Glenorchy Court, Exeter Road, at 12.23am, where the woman had fallen in her kitchen and was unable to get up.

Having gained entry to the flat, firefighters found the woman and assisted her, uninjured, out of the kitchen and to a place of safety within her home. Firefighters then made the kitchen appliances and area safe.
