Exmouth: Fire crew helps rescue trapped seagull

The bird became stuck in netting above a property in Rolle Road.

A fire crew was called out to Exmouth this afternoon to rescue a seagull trapped in netting.

The RSPCA requested the fire service to attend the incident in Rolle Road at around 2pm.

On appliance from Exmouth attended and used an aerial ladder platform from Danes Castle to rescue the bird from the roof of a property.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the seagull was left in the care of the RSPCA.
