Exmouth firefighters called to single vehicle incident

Fire engines from Exmouth and Middlemoor were called out to Maer Lane at 5.35am this morning (Sunday, July 30).

Firefighters were called to Maer Lane in Exmouth in the early hours of this morning after reports a single vehicle road traffic collision.

A heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor and two fire engines from Exmouth attended the scene shortly after 5.35am today (Sunday, July 30).

A Devon and Somerset fire service spokesman said: “Upon arrival crews confirmed road traffic collision involving one vehicle which had left the public highway into flood prevention ditch. All persons were free and clear of vehicle prior to the arrival of fire service personnel. Crews made the vehicle safe.”
