Your Festival is ready!Exmouth Festival is finally here! After months and months of planning, our festival is here!Inside this week's Exmouth Herald will be your copy of the 2009 programme. The brochure lists more than 100 events. Please take your time to look through it. Tim Mann was commissioned to create a silkscreen image for the brochure, which, I'm sure you will agree, has made the brochure something worth looking at!It's hard to grasp how many people come together to create this amazing Festival. The wide variety of events is reflective of the diverse range of people who contribute. The programme itself represents Exmouth and its community. This is one of the many reasons why the festival is so important; because it is a way for Exmouth to express itself! We have a balance of the festival classics, as well as new and fresh events, to keep you on your toes. There are the regulars: the Joey the Lips gig for example - with a fireworks spectacular and support act, and, of course, the 'Exe Factor', showcasing some of Exmouth's best new talent! Then there is the new: The Umbrella factory's theatrical mixed media performance or perhaps our Dance in Devon workshops? If you can take the time to look through the programme, I'm sure you will find something that takes your fancy, whilst I also hope you take a risk and attend something you might not have thought would be for you! The Exmouth Festival is for you, please don't let it pass you by - get involved!Tickets for the Joey the Lips event are available from the town hall, the TIC, 11a Church Street and www.exmouthfestival.org.ukTickets for the Exe Factor are available now from the Exmouth Pavilion.By Chris WoodsExmouth Festival Organiser
