A new-look version of Exmouth’s dinosaur trail could be put in place for next summer, town councillors have heard.

The trail, made up of life-sized models of dinosaurs, was first installed in August last year, for around 12 months.

At the most recent Exmouth Town Council meeting, town clerk Lisa Bowman said the dinosaurs could soon go into storage, but that their return in an updated form could be considered.

She said: “Our thought process has been to wait to the end of the summer holidays, and when the dark nights start drawing in and they’re more likely to be susceptible to vandalism, we could put them in safe storage.

“My feeling is we should have them all in safe storage over the winter while we gather our thoughts on what we want to do with them, and then come up with some sort of refreshed scheme for next year.”
