Exmouth deputy mayor popular with students
EXMOUTH deputy mayor Darryl Nicholas was voted the winner of the Sidmouth college political speed dating event.
EXMOUTH deputy mayor Darryl Nicholas was voted the winner of the Sidmouth college political speed dating event.
Sixth form students from the college fired a range of quick-fire questions to a number of district councillors, with normal seep dating rules applied, ranking them on their three-minute replies at the event.
Cllr Nicholas was voted top - second year in a row - for his answers, earning himself the crown and bunch of flowers reserved for the winner.
The event is organised by East Devon District Council's Democratic Services to encourage the students to think about the work councillors do in the community.
