Exmouth’s very own ‘dark knight’ will be making sure the forces of evil don’t stop her delivering parcels in the town centre this Halloween.

It’s no joke – Batgirl will be swapping the crime-ridden streets of Gotham for The Strand, St Andrew’s Road and Victoria Road to make sure businesses get their parcels on time.

Sarah Farley, a 24-year-old courier who lives in St Andrews Road, will be delivering packages dressed up as one of her favourite DC Comics characters for charity.

She will be taking on the persona to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Sarah said: “I am a huge fan of Batman. I thought it would a quirky idea – that way people can join in and have photographs taken with me while I am out doing deliveries.

“Batgirl is one of those characters that everyone can identify with and the British Heart Foundation does a lot of good work.”

Sarah will have a collection tin on her rounds. People can also donate by clicking here
