Exmouth Coastwatch members are celebrating passing an industry assessment, enabling the team to continue carrying out its search and rescue support service.

As part of its 2017 declared facility status review, Exmouth NCI watch keepers Ian Coupe and Ivor Jones contacted the Exmouth RNLI inshore lifeboat from the seafront lookout tower on two separate exercises to rescue a ‘casualty’ in the water one-and-a-half miles offshore.

Watch keepers Hilary Lloyd and Gordan Evans demonstrated their duties to assessor Rod Skinner.
