Exmouth coastguards called to aid 'drifting' yacht

A WELL-MEANING member of the public prompted Exmouth s coastguard team to respond to the seafront on Wednesday following reports a yacht in the entrance to the River Exe was adrift.

A WELL-MEANING member of the public prompted Exmouth's coastguard team to respond to the seafront on Wednesday following reports a yacht in the entrance to the River Exe was adrift.

The coastguard team made contact with the 22-foot yacht and established it was at anchor.

Following the call the vessel made her way safely into Exmouth.
