An Exmouth church has raised funds to provide vital support for families in need.

Members of the Withycombe Methodist Church Group visited Children’s Hospice South West’s Little Bridge House hospice, near Barnstaple, to present a cheque for £430.

The money was raised at a coffee morning and lunch held earlier this month.

The church group was also joined by members of the Withycrafters group, who have provided knitted blankets for the hospice.

Paula Garrett, community fundraiser for the charity, said: “It costs £8million each year to run our three children’s hospices and these costs are met almost entirely by voluntary donations.

“We’re so grateful for all the incredible fundraising in our local communities and would like to say a huge thank-you to all our supporters.”
