Members of a ladies singing group from Exmouth are excited to be part of an upcoming charity concert.
Renaissance Chorus will be appearing at the Rotary Club of Exmouth and District Last Night of the Proms Concert at Exmouth Pavilion next Thursday, September 21.
Performing with the Exmouth Town Concert Band, they will have two spots within the programme, and also lead the sing-along and the finale with two of their members in key roles.
Jean Thomas will be on stage as Dame Vera Lynn, leading a special tribute for the Dame’s 100th birthday, while Sandy Worcester will put on the Union Jack to lead the finale as Britannia.
Members are also happy that the concert is in aid of suicide bereavement charity Pete’s Dragons, which was their own charity of the year in 2015. Tickets cost £10, or £12 for raised seating, from the Pavilion or online at www.ledleisure.co.uk/exmouth-pavilion/book-now/last-night-of-the-proms.
