This year's Exmouth fireworks display has been confirmed by the organisers.

The charity event – raising money for Exmouth RNLI – is from 6pm on Sunday, November 5 at the Exmouth Rugby Club ground on Imperial Road.

The fireworks – organised by Exmouth and District 415 Round Table – will start at 7.30pm. Admission is £6 (adult) and £4 (children).

Market Carpets is sponsoring the event. First aid is being provided by Exmouth Beach Rescue.

Aware that many spectators view the fireworks from the Imperial Road car park without paying for the display, the organisers are keen to stress that it’s a charity event.

“Since we’ve been collecting with the RNLI and the lifeboat men have been going out, the collections have been getting better,” said organiser Mike Sprague. “It’s just trying to make people aware that this is a charity event.

“If everybody could put their hand in their pocket and donate it would be absolutely fantastic. It would make our lives easier and make it more viable to carry on and do it every year. The more people that donate, the chances are that next year we can put a better display on.”
