EXMOUTH charity champion Lionel Howell's swansong as chairman of Exmouth's 531st Tribute Fund is to raise funds for the Help the Heroes fund.

Mr Howell is teaming up with Exeter Tornados' Keith Heaton to organise an autumn night of music and entertainment at Exmouth Pavilion.

The event will be held on November 6 and it is hoped the night will raise around 4,000 for the charity.

Tickets are 10.50 available from Exmouth Pavilion.

Mr Howell said: "We expect there to be a least five different bands playing all sorts of great music. They are all appearing free of charge so that we can give the Help for Heroes charity as musch money as possible.

"The scenes of our servicemen and women arriving home with such terrible wounds and loss of limbs made up our minds to choose this very special charity in the hope the money raised ill assist in some small way to ease their suffering and help them back to some sort of normal life.

"I hope that on the night we can also introduce one or two of these heroes to the public.
