EXMOUTH Raleigh Rotary Club recently made donations to help develop a farm project in Uganda.
Pictured here is club president Carolyn Hallett presenting a cheque for �750 to Nigel Vince of Ilfracombe Rotary Club, who co-ordinated fund-raising for the project.
Kira Farm is a 22-acre demonstration farm, providing orphaned and disadvantaged teenagers the opportunity to learn hands-on sustainable farming methods as well as a variety of other life skills such as home economics, health and hygiene and first aid.
The farm was officially opened in the autumn by Devon singer
Joss Stone.
