Exmouth Business Awards 2021 sees a blend of virtual and in-person celebrations to mark the extraordinary efforts of Exmouth’s business community during the past year.

The annual Business Awards Ceremony, which this year took place on Friday, June 11, has been the highlight of the business community social calendar for many years.

The aim of the event is to provide a platform for organisations to reflect on their achievements and for the community to come together and celebrate and uplift them.

In 2020 the awards went virtual for the first time and adapted the categories to fit the environment. As businesses started to bounce back in 2021, an effort was made to capture the innovation and effort from the last year, as well as celebrate longstanding businesses, organisations and people within the town.
Simon Jupp, MP for East Devon, said: "It was a pleasure to host the Exmouth Chamber Business Awards which recognised so many fantastic businesses in our town.
“Congratulations to all the winners and every impressive nominee. I'm proud to represent Exmouth in Parliament and work closely with the Chamber which does a superb job of supporting our town, especially after such a difficult year for us all."

Laura Woodward-Drake, chair of Exmouth Chamber, said: "I want to say a huge thank you to the executive team for delivering a great event, for Al Findlay tech team for helping to bring our hybrid event to life and finally to Ocean for being amazing hosts - it's so great to be able to see them back in action and the whole team made being back in an event so welcoming.
“Whilst it wasn't the usual big affair, it was great to take a step forwards and connect — so many businesses had never known each other before and that's what the Chamber wants to do — facilitate connections for inspiration, advice and support.
“The awards helped shine a light on the amazing variety of businesses and organisations we have in the town and we look forward to continuing to do so as we bounce back and grow stronger, together."
