EXMOUTH, Budleigh Salterton and Topsham firefighters were among 20 fire crews tackling an East Devon thatch blaze on Saturday evening.
The Exmouth crews were called to a thatch cottage at Wilmington, near Honiton, where it was reported a two-storey home was on fire.
Fire crews from across East Devon battled through the night to bring the blaze under control.
The raging inferno completely destroyed the thatch roof, while the rest of the property was severely damaged by fire and water.
