Exmouth Art Group (EAG) has raised £550 for the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF).
The funds came from a prize raffle, held at EAG’s recent annual exhibition at Exmouth’s Ocean on the seafront.
The prize –won by a local resident – was ‘Towards Orcombe Point’, a painting by group member and applauded resident Nick Watton.
Liz Swift, EAG’s vice president and David Matthews, EAG’s president, presented the cheque to Nick Watton, who accepted on behalf of the charity
This year’s exhibition – the 71st held by the group – attracted nearly 2,000 visitors during its five-day run. Visitors included Cllr Brian Cole, mayor of Exmouth and his wife Beryl.
A spokesperson said the exhibition would return to Ocean next year.
ELF’s vision is that every family affected by a blood cancer or blood disorder across the South West receives compassionate, tailored support. More details: www.elfcharity.org.uk
