Exmouth Art Group raises £550 for charity

Exmouth Art Group (EAG) has raised £550 for the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF).

The funds came from a prize raffle, held at EAG’s recent annual exhibition at Exmouth’s Ocean on the seafront.

The prize –won by a local resident – was ‘Towards Orcombe Point’, a painting by group member and applauded resident Nick Watton.

This year’s exhibition – the 71st held by the group – attracted nearly 2,000 visitors during its five-day run. Visitors included Cllr Brian Cole, mayor of Exmouth and his wife Beryl.

A spokesperson said the exhibition would return to Ocean next year.
