LITTLEHAM neighbourhood police team is appealing for information after a arson attack on a property in Nelson Drive in the early evening of Saturday March 27.
Officers said a lit sparkler was put through the letter box of the address, causing scorch damage to the door.
Neighbourhood beat manager PC Sallyanne Southern urged parents to check children were not playing with fireworks.
She said: "This is a very serious offence and will be fully investigated.
"This could of potentially been life threatening. I urge anyone who has seen any one with sparklers in the area to contact police with the details.
"I would urge parents to check their children are not in possession of sparklers and to speak to them about the implications of such actions."
