Fire crews from Exmouth and Topsham were called to junction 30 of the M5 when a lorry overturned on Sunday. The trapped driver was freed then taken to hospital.
Exmouth, Topsham and Exeter firefighters used rescue equipment to stabilise a lorry after it overturned near the Sandygate roundabout on Sunday evening.
When the firefighters arrived at junction 30 of the M5 shortly before 7pm they found the driver was trapped in his heavy goods vehicle.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews used powered hydraulic rescue equipment and Stabfast stabilisation kit to release the driver who was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.”
