Exmouth and Topsham firefighters free casualty after two-car collision

Wednesday, August 6 - EXMOUTH and Topsham firefighters spent three hours this afternoon cutting a casualty free from a car following a collision on the A379 near Exminster, between the Swans Nest and Powderham.

EXMOUTH and Topsham firefighters spent three hours this afternoon cutting a casualty free from a car following a collision on the A379 near Exminster, between the Swans Nest and Powderham.

Two vehicles were involved in the incident, with one person still inside one of the vehicles but not physically trapped when crews arrived.

The firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment and small tools to free the casualty who was then taken to hospital by air ambulance.
