Exmouth and Topsham fire crews sent to overturned car on motorway

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8 - EXMOUTH firefighters took rescue equipment to the M5 motorway shortly after noon today after it was reported a person was trapped in an overturned vehicle.

EXMOUTH firefighters took rescue equipment to the M5 motorway shortly after noon today after it was reported a person was trapped in an overturned vehicle.

Fire crews from Exmouth, Topsham and Cullompton were called to the northbound carriageway between junctions 28 and 29 where they found a light goods vehicle had overturned on the central reservation.

No one was trapped so the fire crews made the vehicle and area safe.

A man was treated at the scene by paramedics.
