POLICE in Exeter are appealing for witnesses after a smash and grab at a jeweller's shop in the city.

The incident took place at the shop on Sidwell Street around 1610 hours on Tuesday July 1.
A man smashed the window and grabbed a quantity of jewellery before making off on a bicycle.
The man is described as being aged either in his late 20s or early 30s, of stocky build, 6ft tall and with scruffy brown hair.
He was wearing a pink top, and round glasses.
The BMX-style bicycle was red and orange and had black handlebars.
