EXETER'S shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase a range of fairly traded goods at a special market being organised as part of this year's Fairtrade Fortnight.
EXETER'S shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase a range of fairly traded goods at a special market being organised as part of this year's Fairtrade Fortnight.
Exeter's Fair Trade Market will take place on Saturday, February 28, at the junction of Fore Street and South Street in the city centre.
Exeter has been a Fairtrade City since 2004 with many shops, cafes and community venues selling products with the Fairtrade Mark, which guarantees that producers receive a fair price for their product resulting in better standards of living for their local communities.
Amongst the items available to buy at the market will be clothing, soft furnishings, wooden toys, jewellery, chocolates and tea and coffee and a range of Fairtrade foods will be available to sample.
There will also be information available on the Fairtrade movement in Exeter with copies of Exeter's Fairtrade Directory, listing more than 100 Fairtrade outlets in the city.
Exeter's Fair Trade Market will be open for business from 9am until 5pm.
