FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10 - The benefits of working in a paperless office will be high on the agenda at Exeter's Business South West Show this year.
The benefits of working in a paperless office will be high on the agenda at Exeter's Business South West Show this year.
Marsh Barton technology experts Peninsula will be demonstrating some of the most advanced paperless office technology currently on the market at the Westpoint Arena on Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17, from 10am.
Andy Twemlow, Peninsula's chief executive, said: "In the current economic climate, there has never been a more appropriate time for companies to consider running more efficient offices."
As part of their "work smarter" initiative, the company will exhibit new technology that slashes office costs by up to 20 per cent by using digital paperless filing and retrieval systems.
It will also feature equipment that combines many office functions into one by cutting down on the duplication of common tasks - these systems are not only popular as they increase efficiency but also because they help firms protect the environment by cutting down on paper consumption.
Peninsula's "work smarter" initiative has also been popular with schools as they face increasing security issues regarding filing their confidential volumes of student paperwork, and problems updating their school databases with new records.
After consulting with several schools in the south west, the company has installed a unique digital filing system that converts school paper documents into digital files that can then be attached to existing student records and accessed via a computer screen after inputting a confidential security access code.
Specifically, the company will be demonstrating eCopy Electronic Document Management systems, Invu document management software, Toshiba and Hewlett Packard office automation platforms and paper-saving and page design software, including PaperCut print management and auditing software.
Companies who would like to discuss the benefits of paperless office technology should contact Peninsula on (0845)8804545 or visit them on Stand 182 at the exhibition.
