Children at Exeter Road Primary School swapped their school uniform for fancy dress to celebrate World Book Day.Parents were invited to the school in the morning to visit their children in their classrooms, to look at what the pupils had been working on, and see all the celebrations on Friday, March 14.Headteacher Valerie Lineham said: "The children have been working hard all term, reading books and writing reviews."Almost everyone in the school dressed up as their favourite book character. The aim of the day has been to make reading more enjoyable."It wasn't just the pupils who dressed up as their favourite book character last week, almost all the adults at the school took part as well.There was a competition for the children to guess who the adults were dressed as and the five winners won £5 book tokens to spend.
