An elderly man has fallen in Exmouth this afternoon prompting emergency services to be called out.

Police confirmed that this afternoon (Tuesday, March 6) an elderly person fell on Exeter Road, prompting emergency services to attend the scene.

South Western Ambulance Service (SWAS) was in attendance, as were police officers assisting in managing traffic.

A spokesman for SWAS said they were called at 1.20pm to Exeter Road, because of ‘a report that a man was on the ground’. He was then flown to Derriford Hospital, in Plymouth, for treatment.
