Police letters warning motorists they were caught speeding in Exmouth are winging their way to offenders.

Warning letters have been sent to 18 motorists caught speeding last week along two routes in the town – Hulham Road, near the Woodlands Road junction, and also Brixington Lane, near the Cheriswood Avenue junction.

Officers used a speed indication device to monitor vehicles at both locations.

Devon and Cornwall police said from 31 vehicles monitored at Brixington Lane, three drivers will receive letters telling them they were driving too fast.

A further 15 letters will be sent to motorists caught driving over the speed limit from 55 vehicles monitored at Hulham Road.
