Young performers from Exmouth have taken to the stage alongside a legendary comedian.

Youngsters from the Exmouth School of Performing Arts took part in the Jimmy Cricket show at Exmouth Pavilion.

They performed dance routines designed to dovetail with Jimmy’s comedy material and singer May Marion.

School principal Jane Harvey said: “It was a fantastic day that started with a dress rehearsal on stage in the afternoon at which Jimmy made us feel very welcome and a part of the show as soon as we met him.

“After the girls had finished their rehearsal, they had a short break before returning to the Pavilion for the show that evening.

“They were extremely excited and performed brilliantly. I was very proud of them.

“I would like to say a big thank-you to Jimmy and May for asking us to join them and also the Pavilion for hosting the show.”
