More than 70 toddlers took part in Marpool Primary School’s sports day on the playing fields.
Children aged from three to five, watched by mums and dads, took part in a range of unusual sports.
These included making ant hills by moving mud, putting the legs on the spiders, jumping like grasshoppers, a snail race and another event where children dressed up in the boxes they had decorated and rushed to the finish line.
Liz Threlfall the foundation support unit leader said; “It was a fantastic day, children hugely enjoyed it and staff were pleased the rain stayed away
“All of the children joined in, parents took part in parent races and dads were particularly competitive!”
