Plans for four new classrooms at Withycombe Raleigh Primary School have been supported by East Devon District Council.

Planning officers said that although part of the existing playing field would be lost, the school had large enough grounds for this not to be a problem. The plan, which will also see the demolition of two temporary double classrooms, was previously supported by Exmouth Town Council.

Devon County Council will decide on planning permission.
