Pupils at Woodbury Primary School are a step closer to an improved play area after a donation to the PTFA’s fund.
The PTFA is trying to raise £5,000 this academic year, to extend the outdoor play equipment it funded last year.
It has now received a £500 boost from HSBC’s ‘Pound for Pound’ scheme, which matches the bank’s employees’ charity fundraising and volunteering time.
PTFA chairman Vicki Montague said: “We are extremely grateful for this generous donation from HSBC.”
School headteacher Nigel Tancock said: “The children have really enjoyed using the equipment installed last year and are extremely excited that their suggestions to extend the play trail have been taken seriously.”
