Pupils at Exmouth Community College have had an inspirational visit from an Olympic medallist.
Annie Vernon was a member of the Team GB women’s quadruple sculls team which won silver at the Beijing Games in 2008.
She also rowed in the team at the following Olympic Games in London, finishing fifth.
Annie was also a member of the quadruple sculls teams which won World Championship gold in Munich in 2007, and in Karapiro in 2010, and the double sculls team which won silver in Poznan in 2009.
During her visit to the college, Annie gave motivational talks to pupils, and also took part in some coaching.
