Exmouth Community College pupils had reason to fear their principal had turned to the dark side when he appeared dressed as Darth Vader!
Tony Alexander donned the costume as part of the school’s ‘mufti day’ to raise money for Help for Heroes, allowing pupils to have their picture taken with him in return for a donation.
He was persuaded to dress up as the Sith Lord by Post 16 students Corey Hyde, Tom Powley, Sam Hackney, Luke Jackson and Matt Ramsden, who also dressed up as Star Wars characters. Head of technology and Star Wars fan Mr Drake also dressed up as Obi Wan Kenobi.
The day also saw a fundraising penalty shoot-out and cake stall being held, and the force was with the school as more than 1600 was raised.
