Exmouth Community College has honoured its post-16 students with an awards evening.

More than 60 students were rewarded for their effort and attainment in subject areas - and four special awards were also handed out.

Kelly Fishpool won the Exmouth Raleigh Rotary Club Millennium Award, Emily Kelly won the Paul Wood Memorial Salver, Elena Holmes won the Sir Peter Emery Cup, and Rosie Wilson won the Jim Walker Prize for Contribution to Drama.

The evening also saw an appearance from former college student Danielle Parks, who gave an address and presented the awards.

Assistant principal for post-16 Simon Tanner said: “Our guest Danielle Parks - who left in 2005 - gave an inspirational speech, detailing the amazing things she has done with her life, thanks to the great use she has made of the opportunities and support she enjoyed with us.

“It was a relaxed night of music and laughter, which left me full of pride at what individuals are capable of achieving in this comprehensive sixth form.”
