Super fit Littleham schoolchildren as young as seven took part in the gruelling Great West Run Fun and half marathon.
The Key Stage 2 children, aged between 7 and 11, have been part of a regular after school running club which focused on fun and building stamina and perseverance.
Each week, they completed at least one mile of non-stop running, and the two miles run in the great West Fun run meant their efforts amounted to the equivalent of a half marathon. Each runner received a medal similar to those adults who ran the Great west Run on the same day.
Rosemary Roberts and Siobhan Scott, who led the group, said they were very proud of their team.
