Pupils at Otterton Primary School are getting on their bikes, thanks to a donation from a recycling project.

Earth Cycles, based at Bicton College, has donated three ‘balance bikes’ for children to use in the playground.

An Earth Cycles spokesman said: “Balance bikes are a great way to get kids on two wheels and teach them skills they’ll need when they progress on to pedal bikes. It is a brilliant use of bikes that we get donated that have worn out components.”

Earth Cycles refurbishes unwanted bikes it receives as donations, while teaching people about cycle maintenance. For more information, visit www.earthtrails.org or call 07745 860 157.
