Youngsters at four primary schools in Exmouth have had a donation of footballs from a town club.

Exmouth United FC presented 15 footballs each to Littleham, Bassetts Farm, Brixington and Withycombe Raleigh primary schools. They were delivered by club chairman Andy Guy and welfare officer Steve Cross.

Andy said that due to a shortage of playing pitches, the club was not always able to accommodate youngsters wanting to join, and was, therefore, seeking other ways of promoting football.

The club hopes to make a similar donation to other schools towards the end of the approaching football season.
